Crafting A Beautiful Instagram

The STATs

Of the 20 new accounts that you follow on Instagram hoping that they will take a look at your account and follow back 15 of them will look at your account, 7 of them will like or comment on your image, and only 3 will make the decision to follow you back.
Your goal as a marketer should not just be to get more people to view your Instagram but to increase those visitors into followers.  Knowing the number of followers, likes, and sales and how to increase those numbers should be your goal.Your conversion rate doesn’t just apply to your followers number.
One of the best ways to increase followers is quality and consistency.  Here are my tips to help you craft an amazing Instagram feed that will gain more followers.

SHOOT YOUR PHOTOS IN BRIGHT LIGHT

Taking photos in bright sunlight will result in beautiful, airy photos bringing out the details.

EDIT YOUR PHOTOS

Have some fun with the Photo Editing tools in your Instagram app.
Brightness-gives your photos the crisp white look.
Contrast – Increase slightly to give the colors in an image more pop.
Warmth –Adjusting the warmth down will give your photo a minimalist stark white appearance.
Saturation – Use subtly to brings colors out in a photo.
Shadows and Highlights – Increasing the shadow will help darken the edges and corners of your objects.
Sharpen – Use sparingly but sharpening your photos can result in a crisp and clear finish.

View YOUR INSTAGRAM FEED AS A BIG PICTURE

To create a consistent feed, you need to view your Instagram in the overall whole instead of separate images. When you post an image, consider how it will look next to your other photos. This means that all your images need to have a consistent element that ties them together.

FOLLOW A STYLE

Establishing a theme will help you style your shoots with similar elements. The theme should be a ‘look’ that you love and can replicate in your photos. Your feed can use any style that you like but the main rule is to remain consistent.

Post Strategically

Before you post a new image, always think about what it looks like next to the previous two posts. Before you upload your image, consider whether colors of the latest post coordinate with the previous two.  If those posts are heavy in detail, the new image should be simple to create balance. Don’t be afraid to review and edit your Instagram feed on a regular basis, deleting images that don’t fit your style. Conduct an Instagram purge on a regular basis keeps the feed fresh.
